Lyla is committed to helping others build more meaningful and healthier relationships. She focuses on targeting ineffective behaviors, habits and beliefs while using a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. Lyla spent her graduate school internship counseling in a middle school setting with adolescents and their families. She began her career working with foster youth and teens at risk, who were struggling with severe mental illness.

She is highly skilled at substance abuse and alcohol recovery using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. She fosters a warm, gentle and sometimes humorous, non-judgmental space that promotes healing and change.
