Alisia Smith-Anderson, LMFT

Alisia Smith-Anderson is the Associate Clinical Director and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA# LMFT92454) of Journey of Life Psychological, Inc.  She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Since 2004, Alisia has worked with diverse populations who have struggled with mental health issues. She has worked with homeless children and their families, families in the foster care system, domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, as well as the severely mentally ill and other high risk populations. Alisia also has experience assisting people who are facing difficult life transitions and challenging situations. She is dedicated to helping others bring about positive changes in their lives by overcoming past traumas and maladaptive patterns. She enjoys working with all people, but her passion is working with individuals, adolescents, and families.  She embraces cultural diversity including ethnic minorities, the LGBTQ community, and people from all spiritual backgrounds. Her clinical method is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and each client is treated with an individually tailored approach. Alisia is responsible for the Sacramento office and provides direct services at this location.
